State Substantially Reduces Plea Offer to Avoid Hearing with Attorney Ingram on Motion to Suppress

Our client was arrested after handing marijuana and paraphernalia directly to a law enforcement officer and then confessing that those items belonged to him. Following a very unfavorable initial offer by the State, Ocala criminal defense attorney Andy Ingram filed a Motion to Suppress arguing that the evidence and confession were inadmissible because law enforcement violated our client's constitutional right against warrantless searches and seizures by climbing aboard our client's boat that served as his residence. With the hearing on our Motion to Suppress fast approaching and the threat of having its evidence excluded, the State made our client a substantially reduced offer involving probation and a license suspension for a year.
